Earlier, Ness talked about being non-binary, and the next discussion was about names and nicknames. Names can be integral to a person's identity, and with literary characters, they can be pivotal. In this chapter, Ness has an honorific that doesn't match their birth certificate. Stephanie has a familial reference that doesn't coincide, and Jerry has a few monikers but only shares an obvious one.
