2025-01-06 (M) Vibe Clock Concept and sketch

My fiancée and I struggled to pull ourselves away from the television some evenings, and we wanted a low-impact way to recognize that the evening was slipping away. She suggested an analog clock that told time but also visually displayed time's passage without being an eyesore. A lighted clock face would change colors as the hour passed. Color changing has the advantage of replacing the minute hand, which is a skinny bar that only advances by changing its angle, with a whole-face representation of the hour.

The brightness, color, and intensity will be critical to making the clock as helpful as possible, but changing them in code all the time would be a headache, so we plan to collaborate on a wireless interface. My fiancée will learn the necessary skills to interface via a web page or mobile app, and I will provide the hardware with the skeleton of the interface.
