I typically keep personal events off this blog, but I got married on Pi Day, 2025! My wife thought it would be a clever day to celebrate and easy for both of us to remember each year. We may also get matching 𝜋 tattoos. If you see a 𝜋 tattoo in the future, you will know what that is about.
Planning took months and she handled the majority, but I had a hand in a few things, like the custom card backs which resembled our mailed invites. Instead of an ampersand or heart between the names, we used a pi symbol which I discovered renders differently in certain fonts.
We had a cozy reception with some friends, biohackers, and bio-family. Everyone had a wide selection of pies ranging from apple to cardamom peach. I am not a dancer, but I struggled through a mother-son dance and the first dance with my wife. Wife! So, now I am a husband, which is a marvelous feeling. In project-relevant news, she is a powerful driver for the things I publish on this blog.
