The group left the dock and went to a restaurant to think. Dawson had the idea to take the functioning parts away to work in a new place which would hopefully go undetected. Heather suggested an offshore rig in international waters but didn't divulge how she knew about their inner workings. Jason was able to find a suitable location.
This advanced the plot significantly and will bring about a revelation in the storyline without having to build the entire ship.
