The old version of the spinner had grooves for holding a grommet in place which can be seen in the first spinning image below. The newest model had no grooves so it could not hold a spinner. Instead of putting a cushioning neoprene grommet on the inside of the spinner a neoprene o-ring could be put on the enclosure, this makes the spinner lighter but more importantly the spinner can be printed as a single piece instead of gluing two or three sections together after sanding them smooth. Without the additional steps the balance should be more consistent. For the second image a cutaway shot is shown to indicate there are no grooves but it was printed as a single structure.
