I have been waiting for this day! Two chapters were recorded in a single day. The first of the chapters was not very long but when I finished I was eager to continue. The upgraded recording space is paying off.
Enough background
----------
Chapter fifteen was recorded in two sessions. The first session was interrupted then resumed hours later. When resuming recording it was necessary to listen to the last several sentences and attempt to recreate the position of the microphone so the sound was the same. Being able to hear live audio in the headphones was vital for this.
Chapter sixteen was nearly three times longer than fifteen and recorded in a single session. Ventilation in the recording space has become an issue. Air cannot pass freely through the space so it becomes warm quickly from body heat, computer heat and even heat from the LED light bulb. The door is always closed when recording but even when opened the exit is partially blocked by a sleeping bag hanging on the walls. Covering the door with egg-crate foam would make is simpler to pull fresh air into the recording space.
To do:
Today’s word count: 0 - 0 = 0 words
Total word count: 27 240 + 60 228 + 83 897 = 171 365 words
