Dawson had trouble explaining the package to Karin, Roller Derby. He wasn't star-struck by her, instead, he had trouble wrapping his brain around the whole idea. On top of that, he wasn't clear on what he was delivering and there was a lot of mystery surrounding the package.
He managed to fumble his way through an explanation but it wasn't until Karin touched the equipment that it identified and bonded with her. Despite injuries, Karin was able to move about freely with the exoskeleton while it supported her damaged body.
