After I had time to think about the message from YouTube that said I couldn't stream from my phone, but that I could broadcast from a webcam or software, I searched for screen sharing apps that would let me stream to YouTube, and I found one called "YouStream." I was troubled when it asked for permission to access my contacts, but the rest were reasonable. When I signed into YouTube, it was a simple matter to get a stream up, but the sound only came from the microphone. I built an adapter from my stock of audio plugs, which piped the headphones back to the input, so I could play a sound and hear it on my computer.
