Most of my interaction with the EWC_OST will be through the buttons and screen, but I still use the USB connection to monitor and debug, so I added a couple of commands to change settings. One change was disabling "verbose feedback," by default, which printed the active mood list every time a mood changed. With a baud rate of 9600bps, this slowed the system but disabling it made for quick updates.
I overhauled my spreadsheet with the items I forgot. I added booleans after each instrument's velocity and percent-chance-to-play and a new field for pitch offset, making an instrument play at a different octave. When I started, there were twenty-four columns, but after the changes, I had forty-one. I decided to use fifty instead and placed nine spares at the end.
