2021-05-18 (Tu) Wearable Macro Keyboard BackOfTheHand BotH Quieting program noise

I changed my program to light up one LED instead of working on four to concentrate on one problem at a time. Since there was nothing else in the algorithm, I scanned as fast as possible, but that reported a lot of noise. When I added a delay after activating the infrared light, my noise went way down. I started with a one-microsecond delay, but one millisecond was reliable. Even though the program wasn't showing noise, I didn't see any reflection. I couldn't see any activity in the lights when I pointed an IR-sensitive camera at them, so I will have to investigate why the LEDs don't work.
No IR output
