I had a vision of the pirate ship, but my imagination and floor plans are only sometimes compatible. I sketched the layout a few times before it worked and realized I needed more rooms than planned, so I will need to catch some mistakes in the draft. I only labeled some bedrooms because they change hands in the script. Another mistake I was going to make was forgetting a bathroom, even though I took pains to draft one in the houseboat. I considered putting it in engineering or the kitchen, but that seemed distasteful, even if it was efficient for the plumbing. It should be a solitary room with a proper door. I drew the gravity plates in orange and tried to be practical about where people would install them.
