I checked the code that started each screen and saw where I duplicated the first lines that turned the screen black and added colored rectangles. I tried to modify my sketch to print text next to the blocks, but the text on the right display was out of alignment. The problem was that when I displayed text, it changed the pointer position, so it aligned the left screen correctly and then continued adding letters to the right screen. It will be more challenging to use a second display than I initially thought, so I spent the rest of the day mulling over ideas about how to code efficiently.
