I was worried about the thin neck portion on the Keyboardolier because it exposed the electronics and seemed fragile. I do not remember what snapped the part, but a light tap fractured the wood. I was lucky none of the wires ripped off.
Broken parts removed
I revised the parts and cut them with the laser. I assumed I would have to desolder then reattach the keyswitches, but their mounting piece was intact. The new design hid all the wires and used stacked pieces to reinforce itself. I should have designed it this way from the beginning.
