I needed to reformat the bottom half of the shell to accommodate the new feedback mechanism. The most critical was a mounting hole in the bottom where I could install a horizontal M3 bolt. The shell had eight holes, but their size was to allow visibility. I filled one and added a bolt hole, which appears as a small yellow ring in the screenshot.
I printed and cured the shell bottom. The interior socket that holds the nut was mysteriously absent, and the mounting hole was wider than I had intended. Clearly, I needed to take another pass before I rendered it. Measure twice, print once. The issues were not enough to stop me from installing the mechanism, and I was able to get the brass stub positioned inside the spinner, but the range was severely limited because of how far the horizontal brass rod stuck out the side.

Feedback mechanism sits inside the spinner's inner radius |
