I modeled the changes I wanted for the shell base. The long slot in the side disappeared and I replaced it with a three-millimeter hole. Below the shell, I have a plinth shaped like a partially eaten donut. The platform will have room for the central machine screw head that holds the spinner's axle. The added length will also be helpful when I tap the plastic. The central hole has a plinth inside that replaces the current nut.
