2024-09-01 (Su) GrinderCompassMKIII Flimsy axle holder

I printed the new parts, and the elastic holders that went on the top and bottom of the axle holder fit neatly and made it quicker to tighten the outer nuts. I printed pairs for three different elastic diameters from 3.25mm to 9.35, which corresponded to the fishing lures I had. The prototype shell was too narrow because I used the wrong dimension for the interior space.
Usable elastic holders, but narrow shell

The updated axle holder was too flimsy to hold its shape, so I decided the next try would be a rigid part with no flexibility. I hope the rigidity works well because it would be a more rugged design.
Not sturdy enough
