2024-09-17 (Tu) GrinderCompassMKIII Modeling a threaded tube

I planned to draft each component slowly, starting with the shell. The outer tube was the largest but one of the simplest components. I am using a library in OpenSCAD for the first time. I heard about Ryan Colyer's thread library from another creature and found it on GitHub. I spent most of the time creating variables and empty modules as placeholders. The internally threaded shell was tricky because I had to create the outer cylinder as a child of the threaded hole, which felt backward to me. The threads are slightly visible in the picture.
