I revised the buoy model to include three vents along the sides. These channels will allow water or lubricant to pass freely between the top and bottom while maintaining minimal clearance with the container. I had an issue where the internal cubes supporting the threaded socket interfered with the vents, so I made sure there were as many supports as vents so I could rotate the supports to hand between the vents. Three was a starting point, and I could increase or decrease, and they would evenly distribute around the circumference as long as I had at least two.
