2024-10-10 (Th) GrinderCompassMKIII Top of buoy

Before I started modeling the new buoy design, I remembered that it had vents that would not necessarily align once I connected the top and bottom halves. I considered some alternative designs where the bottom might be narrower, or I could add rounded corners to the junction.

Before I overthought it too much, I modified the model by removing the bottom hemisphere, adding a flat floor, and adding a threaded stub for the magnet. The threads will take too much space, but I think I can eliminate them entirely and rely on a cap that I will adhere in place with printer resin. Seeing the unit in 3D helped me visualize how I could move forward.
Top half of buoy will not fit a magnet with those threads
