I printed the buoy with the tab/slot magnet holder and tried to assemble them before the final curing process, but the finger-like tabs were too floppy and kept slipping out of place. I cured the top half, which stiffened the fingers enough to assemble it with the bottom while the magnet was inside.
I dribbled liquid printer resin around the seam and into the magnet chamber. Surface tension filled the gap between halves neatly. I wiped away any excess so the outside was clean, and I cured the buoy while pressing the halves tightly together. I dipped the top in the resin vat and shed excess resin before curing it and sealing the top. The buoy should be watertight.
