2024-10-20 (Su) Maker Faire 2024

Maker Faire 2024 snuck up on me! I wanted to have something cool to wear and show off, but my cyberdeck was too bulky, so I settled for the keyboard again, which was well-regarded last year. I saw many familiar booths and presenters, but there were many new people and demonstrations. The electronic accordion caught my eye, and I was fortunate to hear the inventor playing an acoustic instrument as I approached, then switching to the electronic version.

The event seemed more geared toward kids than last year, but I was still pleased to encounter many adults interested in cool demonstrations. I met Science Bob at the Crunch Labs display, where I saw Adam Savage, but I arrived too late to hear him speak.
