I like using small screens in my projects, but mounting them is a hurdle, and making them look nice is even worse. The tricky part is that they are square and use small mounting holes. Fortunately, they tend to be uniform, so if I can make a usable solution that works in many situations, many people can use my model to add screens to their projects easily.
I wanted a 0.96" OLED screen because they fit several lines of text and are inexpensive. I measured the dimensions of my model and sketched my plans below. The idea is to make a mount that sandwiches an OLED between a top that hides all the electronics and a bottom that can mount with a circular hole. Anyone can make a circular hole, and this design should still cover a sloppy hole.
