I printed the parts. As an experiment, I printed a spare nut directly on the build plate with no supports, and it came out perfectly. I cleaned up the parts and cured them. Getting the nuts fully seated on the threaded stalk took a little work, but I could have tightened them entirely in the first attempt. I added black countersunk M2 hardware. The bolts were twelve millimeters long, but ten would work better.
I considered adding nut sockets on the front to hide the bolts, which could snag while exposed. The unit was perfectly sized. The base and lid fit together without gaps or overlap. I forgot to read the pinout before installation.
