I wanted to have a model on Thingiverse before I published it on Instructables. I uploaded the critical files there, including a picture of a screen mounted on my guitar and an animation showing three dimensions slowly changing. I wrote that the included models only worked for one screen model but mentioned that the variables could be rewritten for any screen this size.
The Thingiverse web app Customizer refused to load the code, but that app was why I started with Thingiverse. I tried several things to make it work and even chopped out enough code that it should have just rendered the lid, which did not have threads, but it refused to compile. I added the threads-library code to mine so it would not have to compile across multiple files, so now I do not have to tell people to download that code.
