2024-12-08 (Su) EWC_Noodle Working MIDI output

The USB data was still failing, so I reversed the optoisolator on the MIDI input and disconnected the wire. Next, I removed the Serial1 statements from the code. When that did not work, I cleaned the board again and my connection returned. I need to buy a cleaning brush. With the connection reestablished, I modified the IO expander example program to recognize two boards, and every button press would send some data to the MIDI port at the prescribed rate. I tested with the LED device, and the lights stayed off but flickered red when I pressed a button. The change suggests the short may have been on the Tx pin. I reversed the wires to the MIDI port and tested them with a MIDI synthesizer, which showed that the device was receiving data. The output works!
