2025-04-06 (Su) EWC_Soother Recording notes

I wrote a rough draft of the looping code, but it failed catastrophically. The microcontroller rebooted unexpectedly, and none of the commands worked. I considered scrapping the looping portion and wrapping up this project, but I thought about the mess of code and how many bases I was trying to cover in the first draft. I set a more realistic goal of recording and printing a sequence. From there, I can see the potholes before I get to them.

I erased the playback code and focused on the recording. When I finish, I want to play five simultaneously, but getting the first one working was doable. The first step was getting the microcontroller into a recording state. The second was signaling that I was going to start recording. The fourth was recording key presses and their times. The fifth was stopping recording and printing the results. I went through the process and successfully started, recorded, and printed a series of notes.
